#Process2022 was a fashion event held at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on May 11, 2022. This event showcased work from the departments of fashion design and fashion merchandising. The evening included 2 runway shows, interactive exhibits, and displays of embroidery, patternmaking, and student work.

I had 3 looks worn down the runway.
Draping
This dress was created in my advanced draping class. It was inspired by a collection created around an imaginary collaboration with Ulla Johnson. It also included a print design of the flower/tree of Jamaica: the Lignum Vitae. The dress has a front lace up and a four tier ruffle skirt with ruffle trims. This dress is a part of my One Love collection.

Sportswear
This look was created in my sportswear class centered around menswear. It was inspired by a collection created around an imaginary collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto. It evolved into a design about power and finding the strength to break down your walls and become who you truly are. This design includes a crop jacket with flared sleeves and patch pockets, a fringe back, long, sleeveless shirt with a tall mandarin collar, and denim pants with 6 pockets and moveable straps that can be attached to the jacket. This look is a part of my Cracking the Surface collection.

Cut & Sew Knits
This look was created in my cut & sew knits class. It was inspired by the Y2K time period. Y2K was all about putting yourself first, caring about what you were doing, and not worrying about anybody else. This design included an ultra crop top with binding, a bandeau with a feather trim, and a one strap dress with binding, holes, and a tiered ruffle detail with feather trim. This look is a part of my You Suck collection and was selected for the Speculative History Design fashion exhibit in Doha, Qatar.
